The Egyptian Scholastic Test (EST) is designed especially for Egyptian students in the American Diploma division. EST is a computer-based test that measures the readiness of the students to enter university and assesses the level of students in Reading, Writing and Math.

The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education has set Guidelines for University Admissions for American High School Diploma which state that students should take the EST I (or SAT I or ACT I) in order to be admitted to public or national universities. For some majors, students should also take the EST II (or SAT II or ACT II)

The Supreme Council of Universities has accepted the following in calculating the American Diploma: a. Minimum score of 1050 out of 1600 for EST I b. Minimum score of 1170 out of 1600 (for two subjects) for EST II

The Supreme Council of Private Universities has accepted the following in calculating the American Diploma:a. Minimum score of 890 out of 1600 for EST Ib. Minimum score of 980 out of 1600 (for two subjects) for EST II

If you are a holder of an American High School Diploma and want to apply to the faculties or institutes of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer, Fine Arts (Architecture section), and Urban Planning, then you have to take two subjects in EST II. For all other majors, only EST I is enough

The EST is an Egyptian entrance exam for Egyptian public and national universities. Its results cannot be used for applications to non-Egyptian universities. You will still need the SAT or ACT for that

Yes, you can. To change registration information, log into your account and you will be able to edit all your personal details except your email address and tests selected. For that, you need to contact us.

Please note that changing any information after registration closes on February 16, 2021 is subject to a fee

Registration for the March 13 session will close on February 16, 2021 at 9 pm Cairo time and there will be no late registration afterwards

After registration closes, you will be assigned to a center in your test city of choice. You will be notified of the center by email by March 13, 2021 and will also receive a link to your Admission Ticket

Results will be emailed by March 28, 2021, with the exception of EST I with Essay. The result of EST I with Essay will be emailed by April 5, 2021

EST I without Essay: 2000 EGP | EST I with Essay: 2240 EGP. All payments are non-refundable, but students can change the exam date for a fee while the rest is placed in their wallet for future sessions. The date change fee is 480 EGP if requested before the registration deadline on 16 February and 800 EGP if requested after registration closes and before February 22. Changing the exam date after 22 February is not possible. Absence from an exam for any reason results in forfeting the full payment.

Following the March session, the EST will be conducted in May and June 2021 and other sessions will be scheduled soon

You can combine scores from EST I and EST II from different sessions. You can also combine EST II subjects from different sessions. However, you cannot combine EST I English and EST I Math from 2 different sessions

You can use the EST I and EST II scores for up to 5 years after the test results
